Lost in a Dream –
An Electric Sunbeam –
I’m just trying to find the meaning of it all
So I asked Jesus Christ –
Not once but twice –
If he could please give the ‘Old man’ a call
He said I don’t mean to be Green
But you should talk to Magdalene
Cause she is Oh so beautiful and Wise
So I packed up my things –
My Guitar and my Strings –
And my collection of Rare 45’s
So I jumped on a ferry –
To go lookin’ for Mary –
You know I had to cross-over to the Other Side
The journey was long
I don’t know how long I was gone
But you know I think that I most certainly died
And I Listened for her Spirit
I tried but I couldn’t hear it
And I thought then that This was all over
And everything that I had done
Or would do or would become
Came down to this 4 Leaf Clover
~
So I Laid down in the Silence
And Let go of all my Violence
And my Creation – And my Destruction
I was One with the Void
Sitting on My Asteroid –
Deducing My Powers of Deduction
And again it got Quiet
I tried but could not deny it
Finally I just – just had to let it go
But right then it Hit Me
That she was right There with Me
And I’d Never be alone No More
~
So I’m lost in My Dream –
An Electric Sunbeam –
I’m just trying to find the meaning of it all
And with each passing year – I know that She is Near
And I’ll be Waiting Right Here –
For her call
