Summary of the week ending Nov 9th, 2013

Here’s a summary of activity for the week ending November 9th, 2013.

Unicursal SO WILL I WORK Poster

This Unicursal SO WILL I WORK Poster is another piece of helpful propaganda from the Ministry of Information, a take on the original trilogy of British posters from WWII combined with a quote from Liber Liberi vel Lapidus Lazuli.

Magick, Music and Ritual 9 has been released for astronomical Samhain, when the Sun is at 15° Scorpio, and is available for immediate digital download.

This Fall 2013 issue is the ninth in the series and completes the 2nd full year for the Anthology Project at the library. I’ve been listening to this playlist on repeat an unseemly number of times and not only does it fit with the entire corpus of the anthology project, but it is itself a wonderfully coherent and fun journey. I hope you check out this issue with 16 tracks from new and returning artists, which also joins the ongoing series.

In addition to this newest release, please do check out all the tracks and artists who have participated in the entire series so far by headings on over to the Anthology Project pages to check out all the previous releases.

I also announced a special on digital downloads of the complete 2011-2013 collection which includes all 9 released anthology albums. This may be of interest if you want to catch up on collecting them all, or if you want a bunch of download codes to give as gifts I can mix and match them for you if you want more than one of a particular issue.

Although I have previously mentioned this, I have now posted the 2014 anthology album artwork and design call for proposals. If you have an idea you’d like to suggest for the four covers in 2014, do get in contact; or, let others know to contact me if you think they may be interested in this.

I will accept proposals at least through November 31st, and hope to have a final decision no later than December 31st, if not earlier. Hard deadline for complete artwork and design from the selected artist, for at least the first in the sequence, the Hermetic Library Album for Winter 2014, will be Jan 15th, 2014.

In addition to the Hermetic Library itself, do consider checking out the many ways you can participate in the work of the library, and ways you can become a supporter. Becoming a supporter, with either a one-time or recurring donation, will help the library pay hosting costs necessary to stay online, expand the collection, and develop other projects such as perhaps an actual Reading Room. In addition to feeling good about helping the library, becoming a supporter means you will be included in things such as occasional unannounced Postal Potlatch mailings as well as other regular fun such as receiving gratis download codes for each new Hermetic Library Album and more!

You may also be interested in the other blogs in the Hrmtc Underground network, including Iconomancy, Pilgrimage to Far-Distant Countries, Thelema and the Libri of Aleister Crowley, and De Profundis.

Other things you may wish to gander at are the opportunity to help create shared wisdom about the materials collected at the library at the Hermeneuticon Wiki and the web hosting services offered by the Hermetic Library at Hermetic Hosting.
