Here’s a summary of activity for the week ending March 5th, 2017.
Want to write for Hermetic Library? Now you can! This is the big news this week: the open and rolling call for pitch ideas which was formally announced. I’d love to hear your pitch idea, and you can read more about the process of how a pitch will proceed from idea to being published as a post to the blog, on the library site, perhaps as a special issue for publication subscription Patrons, or, maybe, just maybe, if there’s enough material and interest, it might become time to start up that journal I’ve wanted to do!
One of the things that’s occurred to me since I posted that announcement is that if you are interested in reviewing books, I may also be able to get a copy of the book for you. If you’re interested in that, then for the question on the pitch idea form where I ask about compensation, select “Other” and mention that you’d like a reviewer copy of the book. Then, if we go ahead with that pitch, I’ll work on getting the book for you. So, got a book you really want to review but don’t have? Submit a pitch and let me (try to) get that book for you!

- It was as if one of these people—he always thought of them as “these people,” much as he had grown to like and to admire them—should find himself dealing with a group of very alert and resourceful chimpanzees.—Walter Tevis, The Man Who Fell to Earth — Quote
