Bkwyrm reviews Living Wicca: A Further Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham in the Bkwyrm archive.
I have the same ambivalent feelings about this work that I do about the first “Living Wicca”, but I like it a lot better. Go figure. I think it’s because Cunningham encourages people to explore other authors and ideas in this second work. Some of the things I like about this work: Cunningham goes into more detail about the craft community, explains some of the complicated ideas with additional reading suggestions, and gives an impassioned and intelligent defense of the solitary, book-trained Wiccan. But just to bash the point home yet again: you need more than one book, one author, or one perspective to practice any kind of Paganism.
