I don’t really have anything extra smart ass to say
Howdy everyone! Here’s a public summary of my activity this week ending February 10, 2023!
This week I worked pretty hard on a lot of content, including an entire issue in the JWMT archive, another whole raft of old newsletters their archive on the blog, news tales from Jürgen Hubert for this month, along with all the other weekly stuff; so, I don’t really have anything extra smart ass to say this week? I mean, lucky you? A reprieve! I got a lot done, so sorry, not sorry, I guess, right?
Plus the usual weekly stuff like almanac, propaganda, calendar, zine, updates, quotes, reviews, and more!
And, as always, I worked on various other things on website, blog, and more … Enjoy!
Thank you for visiting and being a guest of Hermetic Library. You help me be of service and make the work of the library meaningful. Especial thanks to each and every Patron and Subscriber for making the work of the library possible!

I’ve slowed down posting to one item a week because I’m low on things. I more than filled the previous issue, but now I need more submissions for this current one, if it is to happen, as planned, on Aphelion 2023.

- An imaginary conviction that this or that thing is true, even if such conviction be based upon the strongest reasons of plausibility and probability, is no real knowledge or self-recognition of truth. The truth is really known to no man until it is realized in him; but when the light of truth arises as a living power within his soul, penetrating and illuminating his understanding, causing him to enter into full harmony and become one with the truth, he may then truly say, not only “I know the truth,” but like one of old, “I [in my personal state] am the Truth.” This, however, is not to be interpreted as if to mean that we should reject all theories or treat opinions of others with contempt. Theories are means by which to arrive at practice; they are like crutches used by children before they are able to walk. They are sometimes good for discarding errors; but a knowledge of theories is not identical with the recognition of truth.—Franz Hartmann, The Correlation of Spiritual Forces
- Kabbalah, Magic and the Great Work of Self-Transformation—J S Kupperman reviews Kabbalah, Magic and the Great Work of Self-Transformation: A Complete Course by Lyam Thomas Christopher, in the Journal of the Western Mystery Tradition archive at A Post-Modern Golden Dawn?.
- Foras—Generated visuals for Foras from Goetia using MidJourney and Dall-E from a mix of parsed text description & seal image prompts.

- My publisher told me that when I wasn’t there, Hilal played an imaginary violin, as if she were practicing. I know that chess players do the same, playing entire games in their head, without the need of a board. “Yes, she’s playing silent music for invisible beings. Perhaps they need it.”—Paulo Coelho, Aleph
