Femme Occulte Jaro 2023

“We warmly welcome you to the first bibliography of the fourth edition of Femme Occulte. This year, spring let us wait a little so that the fruits of earlier work could fully ripen in our astral garden and thus prepare the ground for new themed trails of original leafy plants and new seedlings.

So where will we go together this year? We will cover the world of ritual aids, both in the traditional sequence and in the variety of many different approaches to magic. The first circle, which also decorates the spring cover, is a dagger or a sword, a frequent symbol of the element of Air (or also Fire, but more on that later). You will find out in the first chapter what other tools related to Spring and Air we use as part of many ritual paths.

Swords intersect this whole number, so we can find them among the treasures of the Tuatha de Danaan, in the shapes of the leaves of two researched and felt plants, fern and rosemary, or in illustrations by a Czech author appearing under the brand Raven from the North. Next to them, there will also be space for other accessories: a broom, pins, a raven mask and a protective gorgonium. Spring will also belong to snakes, and not only on the head of the gorgon Medusa.

In addition to the big altar theme, we will continue fetchcraft, which we started last year and we will walk towards it with a daimon on our shoulders, further in tarot stories, trees of the seasons, recipes, incense burners and card oracles, which are lines already firmly rooted in us.

A fresh breeze brought a seedling from the environment of Polish traditional witchcraft to the editorial office. She opens her work with the theme of magic recorded in records of witch trials. As an element of communication, Air also gave us the idea of interviews with representatives of Czech lodges, the first of which can be found on the pages of this very issue.

We wish you a pleasant reading!
