“NASA Provides Coverage of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Meeting”
On May 31, NASA held a public meeting, in advance of the release of the independent study team’s final report later this summer, and streamed it live on NASA TV. They said at the time that there would be a video posted, but I’m not seeing it quite yet. There’s a lot of hot takes on this already, but here’s a little round up of some of the regular takes and related recent news.

“Are We Finally Ready to Admit UFOs Are Alien Visitors? Is all of this just more conspiracy theories—or are we starting to really see proof that we’re not alone in the universe?”
“The UFO craze was created by government nepotism and incompetent journalism.”—”In an age of sclerotic institutions, when the arteries of education and media and government are all thickening in front of our eyes, their decline so often captured in hyper-virality on social media, it is inevitable that conspiracy theories thrive. And you know what? I’m not even sure that’s a bad thing, everything considered—I personally think people can make up their own minds on any number of subjects. But one downside of the conspiratorial turn in public discourse is that actually fake conspiracy theories are now promoted by journalists for clicks. We appear to be in a dearth of skeptics, and those same sclerotic institutions put forth ambiguous but hyping headlines …”
Also, since we’re on the topic, from February:
“Matthew Modine Narrates a New UFO Documentary and We’ve Got the First Trailer. Accidental Truth: The UFO Revelations features the Stranger Things star and new theories about extraterrestrial life.”—”A lot was happening in 2020 so there’s a chance you may have missed something—like the fact the New York Times published a story basically saying aliens are real. The claim was based on a document stating that the government has found unexplained objects that were ‘not made on this earth.’ You read that right. So yeah, that happened. And it’s a huge part of an upcoming documentary from director Ron James called Accidental Truth: The UFO Revelations, which uses that information from the New York Times as a sort of springboard to investigate just what it all means. Best of all, James got one of the modern masters of unexplained phenomena—Dr. Brenner from Stranger Things himself, Matthew Modine—to narrate.”
