Baphomet mask from screwbiter studios

“There’s been quite a few emails recently asking if the Baphomet mask seen on the front sleeve of Bloody Hammers’ debut album (and new 7″) is still available. The mask which was the first in the Lords of The Left Hand Path series has long been sold out, but due to the amount of emails received I’ve decided to resurrect the Baphomet mask for a short 13 piece run! As with the original production run, each will be individually signed and numbered and cast in rigid neoprene with leather cord. Once this all 13 are sold, that’s it forever so pick one up!”

Baphomet doll

This Baphomet doll is by Melita Curphy, Miss Monster, and is unfortunately already sold.

“This is my interpretation of Baphomet, a goat headed idol/deity/demon (depending on who you ask) known through an illustration of a sabbatic goat by Eliphas Levi, seen in the tarot and occult artwork. I’m extremely proud of this piece and I feel that it represents a new level of doll crafting for me.

This Baphomet can be cruel and kind, masculine and feminine and commands respect. But it also really really likes peanut butter sandwiches (optional: sprinkled with goats blood, duh) so please have some ready if you give this beast a home. This doll is also best enjoyed while listening to doom metal.

This doll is hand made using cast urethane from original sculptures, a hand sewn faux fur body and hand dyed/painted wool wings. This doll is not articulated, it is a floppy style doll stuffed with polyfill and weighted to sit for display. The wings and ears can be posed. Glass taxidermy eyes.

This doll’s necklace is made from a pewter Baphomet button from The Black Broom, coral, wood, snake bone, horn and amber beads.

The Baphomet

Hermetic Library fellow T Polyphilus reviews The Baphomet by Pierre Klossowski, with an introduction by Michel Foucault:

Pierre Klossowski's The Baphomet

This novel, with its appetizing title, is a brief-but-heavy excursion into and out of history. The prologue takes place in a commandery of the Knights Templar mere days before their arrest by the French authorities. But the story proper occurs in some sort of bardo inhabited by the disembodied “breaths” of Jacques de Molay, Theresa d’Avila, Friederich Nietzsche, and others.

The prose alternates between wild philosophical speculation and striking sensuous image. Klossowski uses the narrative form to advance the most original metaphysical notions that I have encountered in a good long while. He acknowledges the Gnostic notions of metempsychosis, Christian eschatological resurrection, and Nietzsche’s eternal recurrence, and comes up with a component that they all missed.

I don’t wish to say any more for a text that, in able translation, speaks so well for itself. Hail to the Prince of Modifications! [via]

Solid brass Baphomet weights

These solid brass Baphomet weights by Maya Jewelry are on offer for use as body modification weights, in places such as ears … or somewhere else, I suppose, one might have holes at least 0g. Also available in white brass and copper.

Goetic demon statues and more

Christian Day’s HEX: Old World Witchery has some interesting statues based on Goetic spirits and more from the grimoires on offer, including statues of Buer, Behemoth, Baphomet and even some that don’t begin with the letter B.

Buer in bronze finish
Buer is a spirit that appears in the 16th century grimoire Pseudomonarchia Daemonum and its derivatives, where he is described as a Great President of Hell, having fifty legions of demons under his command. He appears when the Sun is in Sagittarius. Buer teaches natural and moral philosophy, logic, and the properties of all herbs and plants. He also heals all diseases, especially of men, and gives good familiars. According to some authors, he teaches Medicine and has the head of a lion and five goat legs surrounding his body to walk in every direction. In Grim Grimoire, Buer is summoned using the alchemy rune. Also, he discourages drunkenness. This sculpture is made of resin with a faux bronze finish. It stands approximately 4.25″ tall by 4.25″ across.

Behemoth in bronze finish
According to legend, the Behemoth was the largest animal that lived on land. Jewish tradition tells us that it was fashioned from clay on the sixth day of creation. However, the book of Job records that the Behemoth is the first of God’s works. In the Muslim tradition, Behemoth equates with the monstrous Bahamut, the vast monster that supports the earth in the cosmos. Demonically, as the name suggests, he was a huge soldier of Satan, usually depicted as an elephant with a big round belly, waddling on two feet. He was the infernal watchman, and also presided over the gluttonous banquets and feasts. It is said that he also enjoyed a certain renown for his voice, being regarded as Hell’s official demonic singer. This sculpture is made of resin with a faux bronze finish. It stands approximately 3 1/2 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches wide.

Baphomet items from Toxic Vision

Toxic Vision recently posted a number of new items, including ones that feature both the Baphomet image and sigil. Apparently, one must be quick to catch these because they’re already sold out before I got around to posting about them. But, I thought I’d mention them anyway.

The Scapegoat Ring

The Small Beast has on offer The Scapegoat Ring, or Baphomet Ring, an oversized fashion ring with a goat head design.

The Small Beast's The Scapegoat Ring

“This ring was create in honor of the ultimate outcast Azazel, a somewhat enigmatic character. Some believe him to be one of the chief Grigori, others believe him to be a master of spiritual alchemy, astrology, witchcraft, adornments or weaponry. It could possibly be the name of a place or maybe a demon, a Djinn of the desert, a person, a spirit, or even Satan himself.

This piece was hand sculpted then solid cast in Shibuichi metal. Each ring is hand polished and detailed then left to rest in a bath of brimstone. Once oxidized I hand polish it to a distressed aged finish.

This ring is not for the faint of heart. The Scapegoat Ring is a hefty 2.75 ounces of solid metal and measures 2.5 inches long. This is a piece for people that like weight behind their jewelry.

This is a limited run ring and it is ready to ship in a size 6. Please contact me for the availability of other sizes.” [via]

MOE Delegate Nominating Panel Update

Sabazius has posted an update about the full implementation of nominating panel to accept applications to a particular element of Ordo Templi Orientis structure from Liber CXCIV, An Intimation with Reference to the Constitution of the Order, which is to help select volunteers as delegates from the Man of Earth triad, over on his blog at “MOE Delegate Nominating Panel Update“.

“I am pleased to announce that The Man of Earth Delegate Nominating Panel is now fully operational and is accepting applications from O.T.O. initiates of the II° who are interested in volunteering as Man of Earth Delegates to speak on behalf of the entire Man of Earth Triad in accordance with Book 194.

The recently created MOE Delegate Nominating Panel, currently comprising 30 representatives from across the United States, has been diligently working with me to create a seamless selection process of the four Man of Earth Delegates to provide the Man of Earth Triad with a strong voice within Ordo Templi Orientis.

From Book 194: In order that the feelings of the general body may be represented, the Men of Earth choose four persons, two men and two women, from among themselves, to stand continually before the face of the Father, the Supreme and Holy King, serving him day and night. These persons must not be of higher rank than the Second Degree; they must volunteer for this service at the conclusion of that ceremony; and therefore they give up their own prospect of advancement in the Order for one year, that they may serve their fellows. This is then the first lesson in our great principle, the attainment of honour through renunciation. – BAPHOMET XI°” [via]
