Dr.Hans, from the UK, is the manifestation of the darkest recesses of your mind. It is the clawing entity. Dr.Hans is its signal processor. Some pieces are devised as creative explorations of instrumentation and environments of gnosis. The goal of the ‘scape’ which it produces it to turn mechanical ideas of aural perception into an ethereal space I can reside in emotively, usually in a darker catharsis. Many of my tracks include sigil launches and the listener must take responsibility in the contextual use of this music. I create dark albums that warp your being, but they are followed with an E.P, or antidote. You will find Dr.Hans in the fog, you may call it ‘keket’.

The eighth issue from the Hermetic Library Anthology Project is being released on Lughnasadh in Summer 2013, at 15° Leo. This is the penultimate album in the second full year of releases, planned for all four quarters in 2013. Magic, Music and Ritual 8 brings together 9 tracks, from new and returning artists, with an hour of music in this ongoing series.
The artwork and design of this issue was created by Mustafa al-Laylah. This is the third of a full series of covers which will span the entire year. The cover design of this issue is the lower left quadrant from the full set of covers this year which can be combined to make a larger image, a collectable poster that combines the elements of all four seasons. The lower left quadrant, in this case, being related to a position on the wheel of the year and the typical correspondences between this time of year, this Summer season, and various things associated such as magical weapon, element, zodiac, cherub and so on. Mustafa has done a great job in combining various correspondences into a compelling and interesting image for this cover, and we can all look forward to seeing the whole image revealed through the rest of the year.

In the corner you will find me,
In the corner you will find me,
In the corner you will find me,
In the corner you will find me,In the corner you will find me,
Gibbering,
A fraying knot,
Silence all of the colour,
The void is here,In the corner you will find me,
Here it is safe
Here it is safe

Void Elusion
Void Elusion
(Thompson)
Void Elusion. In short, the cunning nature of the void, at fingertips reach, so close to gnosis, yet so far from revelation. It is the bones of the infinite mind, and a portal to a dark nerve in our equine nervous systems. This track, is also modeled on distinct physiological models, and carries a small risk of creating heart arrhythmias. This is part of the upcoming album from Dr.Hans. A working title being How To Navigate A Void. The album is split into two halves. One side comprised of heavy bass experiments based around ethnic sounds considered to have occult effects. The second side is composed of ambient works and auditory experiments into phenomena.

Dr.Hans first physical album
You may be interested in helping Hermetic Library anthology artist and audio pool contributor Dr.Hans kickstart his first physical album, which he hopes to do on coloured vinyl with bunches of extras.
“I’m ready to create my first physical album, on coloured vinyl, packed with stickers and a limited run, custom art print. All signed!”
“The project is to create a physical album, as all of my preliminary releases are all digital. I want to create an artistic project, so my idea is to create an aesthetic launch for Dr.Hans. I will be creating a coloured, art experience of a vinyl including unique stickers and a limited run of a commissioned artwork, ‘Passage’, collaboratively designed by Dr.Hans and a (yet to be chosen), phenomenal artist. You can expect dark soundscapes and music fit for meditation and imagination, creating a magickal environment, so we all may visit the void, and return with gnosis. ” [via]

Phasmatis

This track was conceived through a process of introducing acousmatic music to a wider audience through dubstep, dnb, and ambient music. This process of experimentation led to an ambiguous bass arrangement, built around the sample of “The Pentagram” by Aleister Crowley.
“The Pentagram” by Aleister Crowley
In the years of the Primal Course, in the dawn of terrestrial birth,
Man Mastered the mammoth and horse, and Man was the lord of the earth.
He made him a hollow skin from the heart of a holy tree,
He compassed the earth therein, and Man was lord of the Sea.
He controlled the vigour of steam, he harnessed the lightning for hire;
He drove the celestial team, and Man was the lord of Fire.
Deep-mouthed from their thrones deep-seated, the choirs of the æons declare
The last of the demons defeated, for Man is the lorde of the Air.
Arise, O Man, in thy strength! the kingdom is thine to inherit
Till the high gods witness at length that Man is the lord of his spirit.
