Michael Locascio’s Dellamorte & Co, in Fairlawn, New Jersey, has a bunch of interesting things to check out, but the first thing that caught my eye were these resin Anatomical Heart Vases in pewter and red finishes.
“Cast in solid metal and plated in sterling silver this anatomically correct heart vase is the first of it’s kind in the world. The arteries serve as the points of entry to the hollow heart for flower stems. There are six useable ports. The vase is water tight of course.
The vase is 5 inches tall and 3 inches wide ( 12.7 cm x 7.62 cm) It weighs a hefty 1 1/2 pounds (0.69 Kilos).
This piece was a real challenge and took almost a year in production. A gold plated version is also available.” [via]
