Oh, wait. No. Sorry, actually this is a completely hilarious bit of Satanic Panic style fear mongering and ignorance from Gary Greenwald and The Eagle’s Nest. Yes, seriously, they called their ministry, intentionally or not, after the Eagle’s Nest … Yep. They Godwin’d themselves. And their show tagline? “Eagle food from the Eagle’s Nest” means they are comparing their show to bloody shredded offal giblets … Seriously, this is comedy gold right out of the gate.

This is the very same show that I used to watch occasionally for laughs in the early 80s. I especially remember their hysterical, in several ways, show on the evils of participating in celebration of Halloween, from a set decorated as a cemetery with people dressed as Frankenstein’s monster and Dracula wandering around the set … and when at one point the monster stumbles into Pastor Greenwald, they devolve into laughter at the silly fun of it. I don’t think they realized the irony and hypocrisy of their enjoyment and fun with the holiday while preaching its evils.

Anyhow, it’s nice to see the fine work of the animation and toy-making wings of the Great Evil Occult Conspiracy getting a little bit of recognition for their hard work indoctrinating youth through cartoons and toys!
